Jakarta, Oct. 7 -- The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) has officially declared the Indonesian nation's support for the liberation of Palestine, marking two years since Israel launched its military attack on Gaza on October 7, 2023.

Speaking at the MUI headquarters in Jakarta on Tuesday, Sudarnoto Abdul Hakim, Chairman of MUI's Commission for Foreign Relations and International Cooperation, highlighted the recognition of Palestinian statehood during the General Debate of the 80th United Nations General Assembly.
