Jakarta, May 21 -- The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) has established a crisis center to oversee efforts to free humanitarian activists, including nine Indonesian citizens kidnapped by Israel during a humanitarian mission to Gaza.

The head of MUI's Brotherhood (Ukhuwah) Division, Muhammad Zaitun Rasmin, conveyed this in a press conference following a consolidation meeting with Islamic organizations and philanthropic institutions at the MUI Headquarters in Central Jakarta on Thursday.
