Jakarta, Aug. 15 -- Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani highlighted support for the government's efforts to eradicate corruption, collusion, and nepotism in the country.
"MPR appreciates the government's serious efforts to take firm action against corruption through law enforcement officials," he said in his speech at the 2025 Annual Session of the MPR at the Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta, on Friday.
According to him, corrupt practices can harm the spirit of democracy in politics, as well as undermine the efforts of the nation's leaders in building the nation.
Muzani expressed hope that Indonesia's democracy could be free from the culture of corruption to maintain a good spirit in the nation's development....
