Indonesia, Sept. 5 -- The West Kalimantan Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) and wildlife conservation foundation Yayasan Inisiasi Alam Rehabilitasi Indonesia (YIARI) have rescued a mother and her infant from ongoing forest and land fires in West Kalimantan Province.

"The expanding forest and land fires in Ketapang District are once again threatening wildlife, prompting our joint team to rescue a mother orangutan and her infant," YIARI veterinarian Dr. Komara said in Ketapang District, West Kalimantan Province, on Saturday.
