Jakarta, Aug. 12 -- The Ministry of Manpower aims to utilize 59 job training centers (BLKs) operated by central and regional government institutions as sites for the tuition-free education program Sekolah Rakyat (People's School).

In a statement issued in Jakarta on Tuesday, Manpower Minister Yassierli stressed that the Sekolah Rakyat program perfectly aligns with President Prabowo Subianto's goal of building a brighter future for the nation by enhancing the quality of human resources.

To that end, the ministry has prepared 59 BLKs for the program, with 35 of them soon to be converted into people's schools, including the Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BPVP) in Banyuwangi, East Java.
