Jakarta, Oct. 10 -- The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is ready to provide intensive training next year to improve elementary school teachers' English language skills.

This is initiated in line with the ministry's plan to make English Language a compulsory subject at schools in the 2027-2028 academic year.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mu'ti, in a written statement in Jakarta on Friday, stated that the step is taken based on the Primary and Secondary Education Minister's Regulation Number 13 of 2025.
