Jakarta, May 4 -- Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Akhmad Wiyagus emphasized that change in mindset, mentality, and mission orientation is fundamental to the successful implementation of national education policies.

He said these three aspects are essential to ensure that priority government programs go beyond administrative formalities and deliver real impact.

"Without them, all policies will remain merely programs and formalities marked only by quantitative achievements," Wiyagus said in a statement here on Monday.

He delivered the remarks while reading a message from the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education during the National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2026 ceremony at Plaza Building A, the Home Ministry headquarters.
