Jakarta, July 5 -- The Ministry of Communication and Digital is accelerating digital infrastructure development, encouraging greater investment by telecommunications operators, and expanding internet access in remote areas to achieve a national average internet speed of 100 Mbps.

Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Nezar Patria said that quality internet access has become a basic need for the public. Thus, the government is targeting an average national internet speed of 100 Mbps within the next two years.
