Jakarta, Aug. 20 -- The Ministry of Creative Economy is encouraging cross-sector collaboration to strengthen the national music ecosystem so that economic turnover in the arts industry continues to increase, and in turn, the creative economy could become a new engine of growth.

"The Ministry of Creative Economy remains committed to strengthening the creative value chain, particularly the music subsector," Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, said in a press statement received here on Tuesday.

One form of the collaboration is between the Ministry of Creative Economy and the Federation of Indonesian Musicians Union (Fesmi).
