Jakarta, Aug. 20 -- The Youth and Sports Ministry said it is targeting to have an annual sports event calendar starting in 2027 to align all sporting events in Indonesia.

"Our big goal in 2027, in line with the minister's instruction (Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir), is that we will create a calendar of events in Indonesia," Deputy for Sports Industry Development at the ministry, Teuku Arlan Perkasa Lukman, said here on Thursday.

At a press conference on the Jakarta Hybrid Race, he explained that the sports event calendar will contain a neatly arranged list of sporting activities or competitions, complete with the venue and timing of each event throughout the year.
