Jakarta, July 23 -- The Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Culture joined forces to promote Indonesian cultural heritage as a key tourism attraction, domestically and internationally, formalized by a memorandum of understanding (MoU) inked on Tuesday (July 22).

"Culture is one of Indonesia's greatest strengths, a national identity, what sets us apart from other countries, and a source of competitive advantage in developing our tourism sector," Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana noted in an official statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
