Jakarta, March 26 -- Indonesian Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf has warned civil servants and ministry employees that they could face dismissal if found slacking or violating disciplinary rules, particularly those absent after Eid al-Fitr.

During a disciplinary roll call in Jakarta on Thursday morning, he revealed that more than 2,600 ministry personnel across Indonesia were absent without explanation on Wednesday (March 25), the first workday after Eid.

Of that number, 156 individuals serve at ministry headquarters, regional offices, or service centers, while about 2,500 are field workers under the Family Hope Program (PKH).
