Jakarta, April 10 -- Indonesian Immigration and Corrections Minister Agus Andrianto reaffirmed his ministry's commitment to eradicating narcotics trafficking within prisons and detention centers.

He stated that various concrete measures are being taken to tighten supervision and close loopholes for drug distribution inside these facilities.

"We are committed to taking action without exception. Any officer found to be involved will face strict sanctions, including legal prosecution," he emphasized in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.
