Jakarta, Oct. 31 -- Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi reminded all married couples to uphold justice and protect the rights of women and children when resolving domestic conflicts triggered by economic difficulties and disharmony.

"The incident began as a long-standing domestic conflict caused by financial problems. Both parties had undergone clarification and mediation," Minister Fauzi said here on Friday.

She explained that the mediation was conducted by the Aceh Singkil District Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control, and Family Planning (P3AP2KB), which resulted in an agreement to separate amicably.
