Jakarta, April 2 -- Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo stated that the 2026 Eid homecoming and return travel ran more smoothly than last year.

He said that overall traffic during the 2026 Eid holiday season showed improvement, especially on the Trans Java toll road.

"Honestly, at first glance, it does seem better than last year, 2025," he said in a discussion with the media in Jakarta, Thursday.

He explained that it was thanks to the support of a technology-based traffic monitoring system used by toll road operators.

According to him, the use of CCTV cameras, radar, and real-time vehicle monitoring systems facilitates faster decision-making in the field.
