Jakarta, May 29 -- Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni has encouraged the implementation of multi-business forestry (MUK) to promote forest management that is productive, sustainable, and attractive to investment.

In a statement received here on Friday, the minister said MUK is being developed as a concrete forest management model that integrates ecological, economic, social, and market interests.

"Through the acceleration of MUK, the Forestry Ministry aims to present an adaptive, productive, and sustainable forest management model capable of addressing challenges related to the green economy, biodiversity conservation, food security, and improving the welfare of communities living around forests," he said.
