Jakarta, July 31 -- Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto projected the digital sector's contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP) to reach eight percent, targeting nine to 10 percent by the end of 2025.
"The digital economy is a key pillar in national economic growth that is inclusive and sustainable," he stated at the "Gen Matic ASN x TikTok Shop by Tokopedia" event in Jakarta on Wednesday, according to a statement.
Hartarto explained that the e-commerce sector is the largest contributor to Indonesia's digital economy, making up around 72 percent of the total value of the country's digital economy.
