Jakarta, Feb. 12 -- Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Minister Arifah Fauzi has called for the creation of a safe digital space where children can learn, play, interact, and express themselves without exposure to violence or inappropriate content.
"The state is responsible for fulfilling children's rights to access information and benefit from the digital space. Both aspects must be balanced to ensure children receive fair opportunities online," she said in Jakarta on Thursday.
Fauzi noted that the rapid expansion of digital platforms requires a shift in how society views the online environment.
