Jakarta, Oct. 11 -- Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno has urged relevant ministries and agencies to conduct comprehensive evaluations of the structural safety standards of educational institutions across Indonesia, particularly Islamic boarding schools (pesantren).

The call came as the government intensifies its focus on school safety following the fatal collapse of a building at Al Khoziny Pesantren in Buduran, Sidoarjo, East Java, on September 29.
