Jakarta, May 26 -- Indonesian Culture Minister Fadli Zon noted that the 2026 Eid al-Adha celebration serves as a key moment to strengthen the values of sacrifice, sincerity, tolerance, and social solidarity that have long been rooted in Indonesian culture.

"This Eid al-Adha commemoration is important, especially for Muslims because it carries deep meaning about sacrifice, sincerity, tolerance, and social solidarity," he said during a symbolic handover of sacrificial animals at the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education building courtyard in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He noted that these values have always been an essential part of the social and cultural life of Indonesians, including the tradition of extending help to those in need.
