Jakarta, Oct. 9 -- Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana has called for cross-sector collaboration to strengthen Muslim-friendly tourism in Indonesia, emphasizing the need for consistent and clear standards.

"By involving domestic and global partners, we can build harmony in setting standards, exchange best practices, and expand promotion," she said at a press conference during the 7th International Halal Tourism Summit on Thursday.

The minister stressed that Muslim-friendly tourism must be grounded in inclusive economic participation. She noted that government policies and industry partnerships should empower local businesses and communities to ensure that the sector's growth contributes to public welfare.
