Jakarta, Aug. 28 -- Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) has stressed the need to accelerate economic growth without compromising environmental sustainability, aligning with President Prabowo Subianto's vision for food and energy self-sufficiency.

He said President Prabowo has consistently pushed for stronger economic performance, but warned that growth must be achieved in harmony with ecological preservation.

"President Prabowo has repeatedly emphasized that our economic growth must be high, supported by food and energy self-sufficiency. The question is whether we can achieve this without sacrificing environmental sustainability," AHY said in a statement on Wednesday.
