Jakarta, May 17 -- Indonesian Deputy Tourism Minister Ni Luh Puspa stated that the newly inaugurated Marsinah Museum in Nganjuk District, East Java is expected to strengthen the tourism appeal of Nglundo Tourist Village.

"The Marsinah Museum is present not only as a space for learning history, but also as a means to strengthen the appeal of cultural and educational tourism in Nglundo Tourist Village," she said in a statement received in Jakarta on Sunday.

Puspa visited the museum during an official trip to Nglundo on Saturday (May 16), coinciding with its inauguration by Prabowo Subianto, who named Marsinah a national hero last year.

Her visit began at the house where Marsinah, who was born on April 10, 1969, spent her childhood.
