Indonesia, Sept. 29 -- Agam Immigration Office in West Sumatra deported a Malaysian national identified as M after finding that the person had overstayed an immigration permit by 157 days.

Agam Immigration Office Head Kizlar Asaad said the deportation was carried out on Saturday (Sept. 26) through Sultan Syarif Kasim II International Airport in Pekanbaru, the capital of Riau Province.

"M underwent examination in accordance with immigration regulations. Based on the findings, we took administrative action by returning the person to their home country," Kizlar said here Monday.

M was flown to Malaysia on a Pekanbaru-Kuala Lumpur route.

Kizlar said the Malaysian national had overstayed the permitted period by 157 days.
