Tangerang, Nov. 11 -- Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Romo Muhammad Syafi'i emphasized that madrasah (Islamic schools) have become centers of comprehensive education, integrating not only religious studies but also competencies in science and technology.
"Islamic teaching is not limited to theology and religious knowledge; it encompasses all aspects of life, including science and technology," Romo Muhammad Syafi'i stated in a press release in Tangerang, Banten, on Tuesday.
The Deputy Minister's remarks came on the occasion of the opening of the 2025 National Madrasah Olympiad (OMI) held from November 10-14 in Tangerang City.
