Kota Bandung, Oct. 6 -- A leopard was successfully evacuated from Hotel Anugerah on Jalan Padasaluyu, Sukasari District, Bandung City, West Java, on Monday.

Police received a report from hotel staff at around 7:00 a.m. local time and immediately responded to the scene. The animal was found on the second floor, in front of a guest room.

Authorities initiated tranquilization efforts to subdue the leopard, using nets to restrict its movement.

By approximately 9:25 a.m., the leopard was immobilized and placed into an iron cage before being transported to the ground floor.

Investigators are looking into the possibility that the animal had escaped from the quarantine enclosure at Lembang Park and Zoo in West Bandung District.
