Jakarta, Oct. 22 -- Member of the House of Representatives Commission IX, Irma Suryani, has voiced support for continuing the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program as President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka mark their first year in office.

Suryani said the MBG program, with adjustments to address emerging challenges, should be maintained because it has proven effective in stimulating the local economy, especially in rural and regional areas.

"This program continues to create jobs while driving regional economic growth," she said in Jakarta on Tuesday.

She noted that the first year of the Prabowo administration had been successful, with public satisfaction exceeding 80 percent.
