Jakarta, May 5 -- Indonesia's anti-graft agency said its probe into alleged corruption in the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail project remains at the preliminary inquiry stage, citing case management priorities despite the investigation running since early 2025.
"The Whoosh case is still under preliminary inquiry," KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Asked why it has not moved to a full investigation, Budi said it was due to case management amid a heavy workload.
"It is a matter of case management, as KPK is handling many cases, including covert probes and sting operations in recent months across regions," he said.
He added the agency continues to examine alleged corruption in the Whoosh project.
