Jakarta, May 22 -- The National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) reveals that Argo Bromo Anggrek train had applied gentle braking approximately 1.3 kilometers before collision with a commuter line train set at Bekasi Timur Station on April 27, 2026.

KNKT Chairman Soerjanto Tjahjono said the Argo Bromo Anggrek train's driver braked his machine after receiving information about an impact of other commuter line train ahead.

"I mentioned earlier that from a distance of 1,300 meters, after receiving the news that there was a collision ahead, the driver of Argo Bromo Anggrek train had already applied the brakes," Tjahjono said after attending a working meeting with Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representative (DPR RI) here on ...
