Wamena, Aug. 23 -- The Jayawijaya District Police, in collaboration with the Wamena Branch of Perum Bulog, organized an affordable food program to help stabilize rice prices in Jayawijaya District, Highland Papua.

The symbolic distribution of rice under the government's Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) program was carried out by Jayawijaya Deputy Police Chief Commissioner I Wayan Laba, accompanied by Head of Bulog Wamena Branch, Stephanus Kurniawan, at GPdI Agape Congregation Church in Wamena on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

In a written statement released on Friday, Commissioner Laba said the initiative was part of efforts to maintain food price stability in the region.
