Jakarta, Aug. 28 -- Jakarta's open unemployment rate (TPT) fell to 6.18 percent in the first half of 2025, Governor Pramono Anung said on Wednesday, noting a slight improvement compared to the same period last year.
"Unemployment in Jakarta is currently at 6.18 percent, a decrease compared to the same month last year. The decrease is small, but there is still improvement," Pramono said though he did not provide last year's figure.
Speaking at Jakarta City Hall, he said the city government has launched various job creation programs, including skills-based training aimed at preparing workers for domestic and international markets.
