Jakarta, Dec. 22 -- The Jakarta Provincial Government will roll out a range of worker incentives including free public transportation, clean water subsidies, and BPJS Kesehatan health insurance coverage, Governor Pramono Anung said on Monday.
Speaking at Jakarta City Hall, Anung said the incentives are being provided because such benefits are not regulated under Government Regulation (PP) No. 51 on wages amid ongoing discussions over the provincial minimum wage.
"Because we understand that in the current global economic situation, measures like these can give workers or laborers extra energy to perform better at work," he said.
