Jakarta, July 9 -- Jakarta is set to host a conference on museums through the International Council of Museums, Committee for Education and Cultural Action (ICOM-CECA) Annual Conference 2026, on November 9-14.

Head of the Jakarta Culture Office, Mochamad Miftahulloh Tamary, stated that the event marks a historic milestone, as it is the first time Indonesia has been entrusted to host the ICOM-CECA Annual Conference.

"The trust is proof that Jakarta has the capacity to serve as a cultural center and a hub for international cultural dialogue," Tamary said in an online press conference on Thursday.
