Jakarta, June 24 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo said the city administration plans to build 11 large-scale public housing towers in 2027 as part of efforts to address growing housing demand in the capital.

The decision was made after Pramono approved funding allocations for the projects during budget discussions held by the Jakarta provincial government.

"Earlier today, we held a budget meeting. During the discussion, I approved the construction of 11 new large-scale apartment towers next year," Pramono told reporters in Central Jakarta on Wednesday.
