Jakarta, Oct. 31 -- The Ministry of Public Works reported that the Jakarta Sewerage Development Project (JSDP) Zone 1 in Pluit, North Jakarta, has reached 41 percent completion.
"Building a centralized wastewater system is not only about installing pipes and facilities, but about advancing civilization," Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo said in a statement issued in Jakarta on Friday.
He added that modern sanitation infrastructure ensures a cleaner, healthier, and more livable environment.
The project is part of the ministry's efforts to accelerate the development of modern sanitation infrastructure across the capital.
