Jakarta, Aug. 1 -- The government is planning to hold the first-ever feast for the public in the central courtyard of the Presidential Palace in Jakarta as part of Indonesia's 80th Independence Day anniversary celebrations on August 17, 2025.

Deputy Minister of State Secretary, Juri Ardiantoro, announced the initiative at a press conference at the President's Office at the palace on Friday.

"After the flag ceremony in the morning, we will open a people's feast, where Mr. President (Prabowo Subianto) will offer a variety of dishes and beverages to those attending the ceremony," he told the media.
