Jakarta, Oct. 22 -- Deputy Minister for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Veronica Tan said the revitalization of Jakarta's Old Town (Kota Tua) is expected to restore the area as an inclusive public space that celebrates the city's diversity and creativity.

"Imagine Fatahillah Square not only filled with tourists but also storytellers, musicians, and children's laughter. This is the spirit of a living city, where Jakarta's diversity, creativity, and resilience grow together," Tan said on Wednesday.

She commended the revitalization program launched by the Jakarta Provincial Government in collaboration with MRT Jakarta and other partners.
