Jakarta, Sept. 18 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has departed for New York, United States, to fulfill an invitation from New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani to attend the Urban 20 (U20) Mayors Summit 2026 and discuss solutions to pressing urban issues.

"This visit serves as an opportunity for Jakarta to strengthen its role in global city-to-city cooperation, while also bringing back knowledge and partnerships that can be applied to improve public services and the quality of life for Jakarta's residents," Pramono said in a statement on Friday.
