Jakarta, Sept. 13 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said his administration places security, comfort, and smooth mobility as top priorities as the Indonesian capital is set to host the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026.

"We are envisioning Jakarta as a city that is friendly to sports, becoming a sports destination. Truth be told, events like the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 carry great importance for this city," Anung remarked while attending a parade held as a prelude to the Southeast Asian football tournament.

Speaking at the HI Roundabout on Sunday, Anung emphasised all elements of the Jakarta government are resolved to fully support the inaugural event in an effort to enhance the global image of the country and the nation.
