Jakarta, Aug. 11 -- The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, have formalized a sister city partnership as a concrete platform to address shared challenges and build resilient, livable, and sustainable cities for future generations.
"We face similar challenges, from traffic congestion and increasing demand for public services, to the threats of climate change, but we also have great opportunities to learn from and support each other," said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung in an official statement released in Jakarta on Monday.
The signing of the Letter of Intent (LOI) for the cooperation was carried out by Governor Pramono and Kuala Lumpur Mayor Dato' Seri Maimunah in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
