Jakarta, April 3 -- Iran's Ambassador to Indonesia, Mohammad Boroujerdi, praised the Indonesian government for its genuine intention to help facilitate peace efforts in the Middle East amid tensions involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.

Speaking at a gathering with Indonesian Islamic figures in Jakarta on Friday, he acknowledged the government's swift response in expressing its willingness and readiness to serve as a peace facilitator in the region.

He said Indonesia's commitment to easing tensions marks an important step toward fostering lasting stability and peace in the Middle East.

Boroujerdi also expressed appreciation for Indonesian Islamic scholar Din Syamsuddin, who attended the meeting.
