Jakarta, Oct. 26 -- Deputy Minister for Migrant Worker Protection Christina Aryani said that the placement of skilled Indonesian migrant workers in Turkey will focus on labor-intensive sectors like tourism, hospitality, construction, and manufacturing.
"The current minimum wage in Turkey is around US$650 (approximately Rp10.8 million). I believe that with enhanced skills, competence, and language proficiency, Indonesian migrant workers can earn above this standard," Aryani said in a press statement here on Sunday.
The deputy minister will conduct a working visit to Turkey from October 27-29, 2025.
