Denpasar, Bali, Sept. 12 -- Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has instructed the disaster response team to prioritize evacuees affected by massive floods in Bali.

"Please prioritize elderly residents, babies, children, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and people with special needs," he said during a visit to a flood evacuation post in Denpasar on Friday.

He also asked that evacuees suffering from illnesses, including skin diseases caused by the flood, receive proper medical care.

Gibran expressed hope that students could continue their schooling and learning activities despite the disaster. He assured evacuees that damaged public facilities, including schools, would be rebuilt by the government.
