Indonesian snacks reach Saudi Arabia in first export
Jakarta, Aug. 5 -- Indonesia's Trade Ministry announced an Indonesian snack product has successfully entered the Saudi Arabian market through an inaugural export valued at US$16,045 (around Rp288.81 million).
A Director General of National Export Development at the Ministry, Fajarini Puntodewi, said the inaugural shipment by PT Cipta Rasa Food to Saudi Arabia was facilitated through a business matching programme organised by the Indonesian Trade Attache in Riyadh.
"The inaugural exports of this snack product to Saudi Arabia demonstrate that Indonesian products have met global standards. We hope more Indonesian businesses will soon follow," Puntodewi said in a statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday.
