Indonesian rescuers evacuate ailing Filipina from ship off Aceh
Banda Aceh, May 17 -- Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) evacuated a Philippine crew member who fell ill aboard a cruise ship sailing in the Strait of Bengal near Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province.
Head of the Banda Aceh Basarnas Office Ibnu Harris Al Hussain said the crewwoman, identified as Arante Faenielle Emerald, 38, was evacuated from the Maltese-flagged cruise ship Mein Schiff 6.
"The victim was evacuated due to illness and required further medical treatment. She was transferred from the ship and taken to a hospital in Banda Aceh. The evacuation took place on Saturday night (May 16)," he said in Banda Aceh on Sunday.
