Jakarta, Feb. 25 -- Indonesia's National Police have named 12 suspects and rescued seven babies in a human trafficking case that allegedly involved selling infants through social media under the guise of adoption.
"Investigators have named 12 suspects and rescued seven baby victims," Inspector General Nunung Syaifuddin, Deputy Chief of Polri's Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim), said on Wednesday.
Brigadier General Nurul Azizah of Bareskrim's Directorate of Crimes against Women and Children said the trafficking network operated in Jakarta, Banten, Yogyakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, South Sulawesi, Jambi, Bali, Kalimantan, the Riau Islands, and Papua.
