Mataram, April 28 -- Indonesian police have arrested a 22-year-old South Korean national, identified by the initial WK, at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali over a suspected rape in North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

Head of the North Lombok Police Criminal Investigation Unit Inspector I Komang Wilandra explained that the suspect was apprehended by airport authorities following police reports of a rape of a fellow South Korean citizen.

"The arrest at Ngurah Rai Airport is the result of coordination between our team and the immigration office, which has issued a travel ban against the suspect," he said when contacted from Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara, on Monday (April 27).
