Jakarta, April 28 -- The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) has demanded a thorough probe into a deadly collision involving the long-distance Argo Bromo Anggrek service and a commuter train in Bekasi, West Java, on Monday night (April 27).

"An immediate, comprehensive investigation into this incident is required to determine the cause, whether it was human error, signaling issues, or operational management problems," DPR Deputy Speaker Yuliati said in a statement cited here on Tuesday.

She stressed that the government and other relevant stakeholders must roll out adequate responses, underscoring the urgency of addressing both the physical and mental conditions of survivors.
