Jakarta, March 14 -- Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi emphasized the importance of public transportation that is friendly and responsive to the needs of women and children, including during the 2026 Eid homecoming season.

"We appreciate the various facilities that have been prepared to support women- and child-friendly homecoming travel," Minister Fauzi said in a statement here on Saturday.

She conveyed the statement while reviewing preparations for the Eid homecoming flow at Merak Port, Banten.

The facilities include the availability of special toilets for women and children, clear and accessible travel information systems, child-friendly play areas, and proper lactation rooms for breastfeeding mothers...
