Jakarta, Aug. 9 -- Indonesia's communications ministry plans to reactivate its game rating system later this year after overhauling its policies, following a suspension triggered by incorrect age ratings displayed on the Steam gaming platform.

The age-based Indonesia Game Rating System was suspended in April after public scrutiny over incorrect ratings displayed on Steam, a major global game distribution platform.

"There will be adjustments, as the evaluation is being thoroughly conducted, covering not only the system architecture but also the policy aspects," said Tita Ayuditya Surya, head of the ministry's Game Ecosystem Development Team.
